The Lady of Athens

Who, Where, What & When

About Me

* After graduating in computer sciences and being awarded the Stein Rokkan Prize for Comparative Social Science Research, I was approached by the Royal Society to help them with their public image and online branding. Being approached by such a prestigious and respected organization was quite naturally very exciting, thus this project was in large part only possible with their help.

Moving on, I have since worked for many high profile organizations ranging from well known airlines to city banks. A full list of the work I have done will be published shortly, suffice to say my latest project is the most interesting of them all.

My passion is currently Greek Mythology and specifically Athena. So why Athena?

Athena had a special relationship with Athens, which is clear with the connection of the name of the goddess and the city. Athena won a contest with Poseidon the god of the Sea over the city of Athens.

Athena battled with Poseidon to be the patron & deity of Athens, which was at that time unnamed. They agreed to each give Athenians one gift and then the Athenians would choose the gift they preferred.

Athena, offered them their first olive tree. The king, Cecrops accepted the olive tree and with it the patronage of Athena.

Athena is an icon who has outlived the civilizations which idolized and stood in owe of the legend which for the last thousand years has inspired female sexual strength and wisdom.
