It would all appear to be in the title, my friends! This is certainly one point-of-view that seems to be commonly held amongst the modern day electorates of the Western societies.
It seems as though governments are completely entitled to do as they please and it seems that those currently in power have been partying at the glowhouse at our expense while they have long since been enjoying the fruits which come with public office and such institutions. It is high time that the current situation is changed for the better.
Add to this the fact that many developed nations now seem to be becoming more and more 'big brother'. In other words, the fundamental rights to privacy seem to be slowly eroding away, as governments become increasingly inclined to keep tabs on us in some new and elaborate shape or form.
It has now reached the stage whereby it is not unreasonable to liken these governments with our impression of what the ancient Greek Gods would have been like. Goodness knows that many politicians these days can clearly be said to be in possession of such delusions of grandeur.
All the while, the poor citizens of these countries are forced to quietly stand-by, while all of the time they watch the freedoms of life being slowly taken away from them. Time to send out a clear message to these political fat cats perhaps? It's simple, you've been elected to your role on trust and are there to represent the opinions and best interests of your electorate, do us all a favour and start doing this - for a change!
There would never be any way of saying just exactly what it is that seems to have got into the modern politician, but goodness knows that they definitely need to start winding their necks in and remembering that they are in their job for a very specific reason.
