There is no substitute for a womans touch when it comes to interior and home design. Sorry guys, you just don't have the same flair for it although you would probably disagree. Many of you males out there would say that we waste time and money on buying silly and unnecessary things but it is just not true!

Making our home feel lived in and special does not need to be expensive, just a few well-chosen accessories here and there. Of course there are the obligatory candles as there is nothing better to brighten up the dark nights and make them a little cosier.

Then of course there are the rugs and cushions. Just enough cushions to cosy into when you are watching telly or listening to the iPod and a rug in case your toes get cold!

Many men criticise us saying that our choice of home accessories is made on the basis of style over practicality, but I totally disagree with this as most women will choose designs that we can use as well as looking good (remember that we can multi-task!)

Luckily, the fashion nowadays is quite minimalist and it is easy to make a well thought out impact with just a few accessories from a low cost shop. I firmly believe that a home should feel like home and be comfy as well as looking good.
